Happy Samhain!
As the veil between worlds thins and the last harvest of the year is gathered, we arrive at Samhain, the turning of the wheel that invites both remembrance and renewal. This sacred time has always been, for me, a space to pause and honor the cycles of life—what has ripened, what must be released, and what still whispers in the unseen waiting to be born.
Much of my writing is born from these very thresholds, the liminal places where the seen and unseen meet. In my Sacred Earth Trilogy, characters wrestle with love, loss, spirit, and destiny in ways that mirror our own human longing to belong to something greater. And in my nonfiction works, especially my explorations of meditation and magical practice, I write about how we too can step into these thresholds intentionally—through silence, breath, imagination, and the Divine Self that dwells within us.
Samhain reminds me of the necessity of story. Just as our ancestors told tales by firelight to guide the living and honor the dead, I believe our stories—whether whispered on a page or spoken from the heart—carry the power to heal, to anchor us, and to call us home to ourselves. My books are, in many ways, offerings on that ancestral altar, prayers stitched into words that I hope bring comfort and inspiration to you, my community.
As we cross this threshold into the darker half of the year, may you find yourself wrapped in the mystery of night and the wisdom of your own Sacred Self. Let this be a time to kindle your inner flame, to listen for the voices of your ancestors, and to dream the dreams that will guide your next becoming.
With love and presence,
Aylah
